Why
do I get stretch marks?
When
the natural collagen and elastin fibers within the body are strained due
to rapid changes in weight and muscle (pregnancy, teen-age growth
spurts, weight loss programs, weight-lifting), the underlying tissue
tears and the body responds by forming unsightly stretch marks.
Will
my stretch marks totally go away?
No
topical cream, or even lasers, can totally repair the tears under the
skin that lead to stretch marks. Even
though your stretch marks cannot completely disappear, Renaissance can
impart an improved appearance of your stretch marked skin.
How
long before I see results?
Individual
results will vary. While
some have reported noticing a change beginning in their skin after the
first 4 to 6 weeks of use, it will usually take 6 to 8 weeks to see your
optimal results. Before
beginning your renewal process, we strongly recommend you take a
photograph or mental picture, and measure the length/width of the
affected area, then don’t peek until the process is complete!
This will allow you to fully appreciate the dramatic
transformation that has taken place!
How
long will one tube last?
How
long a tube lasts will vary depending on the extent of damage, and the
size of the affected area. Used
as a stretch mark treatment, a tube of Renaissance will last
approximately 4 to 6 weeks. More
than a one-tube supply of Renaissance may be needed for optimal
results.
Will
my stretch marks return?
Renaissance
is not a cover-up product, so the transformation in your skin will not
go away when you stop using it. If,
however, you overwhelm your skin’s ability to cope with additional
changes in weight and girth, new stretch marks may occur.
How
does it help correct pigmentation?
Is it a skin-bleaching product?
Renaissance
is not a skin-bleaching product. It
contains several new exciting ingredients such as Emblica, Bearberry,
Licorice Root, Glucosamine HCL with Algae and Yeast, and Ascorbyl
Palmitate.
Will
Renaissance help improve other types of scars?
While
you may see some improvement in the tone and texture of other types of
scar tissue, Renaissance has been specially formulated to
effectively diminish scar tissue from stretch marks.
Can I
use it if I am tanning?
One
of the physical characteristics of stretch-marked scar tissue is that
the pigmentation in it changes and it no longer tans evenly with the
rest of your undamaged skin. While
there should be no adverse affect from using Renaissance while
you are tanning, it may be more difficult to recognize the dramatic
changes taking place. It is
recommended that you apply at least an SPF 30 sun block to the affected
area after Renaissance has completely absorbed into your skin.
Can I
use it on my face?
Renaissance
is a nutrient rich crème formulated especially for use on skin of the
legs, thighs, arms, stomach, etc. While
it can be effective for the treatment of wrinkles, it may cause mild
breakouts if applied to the delicate skin of the face.
Those with more sensitive or acne-prone skin should patch test it
first on the inner arm before using it on the face.
Are
there any side effects?
Generally,
no. However, as with any
new skin care product, before use, patch test inside your elbow to
determine if you have any individual sensitivities.
Some people report they feel a gentle warmth and slight reddening
of the skin upon application. This
is a normal reaction for some skin types.
If you experience extreme redness or irritation, discontinue use
and consult your healthcare professional.
